2025 "Berlin · Butterfly · Brazil" Concert

Berlin.Butterfly.Brazil presents a vibrant musical journey across Europe, Asia, and South America, led by acclaimed violinist and Artistic Director Angel Wang with the Phoenix Orchestra.

 

The program brings together the dramatic depth of the German Romantic tradition, the lyrical beauty of Chinese music, and the irresistible energy of Latin rhythms. Works by Meyerbeer, Wagner, and Brahms form the Berlin-inspired repertoire, while the beloved Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto celebrates one of China’s most treasured musical stories. The evening also features the passionate music of Astor Piazzolla, adding the distinctive spirit and vitality of South America.

 

A special highlight of the concert is an appearance by Dashan (Mark Rowswell), who joins as guest artist and emcee, presenting classical Chinese poetry with orchestral accompaniment.
